Our location in Westfield, IN., currently has an opportunity for a Lead Desktop Technician.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Direct line supervision of technical resources. Coordination and monitoring of non routine support activities. Contributes to procedures and practices. Manages knowledge content.
Provides leadership for a large group of technicians and/or large LOB. Conducts annual PEx reviews, growth planning and mentoring.
Act as an escalation point for technical and non technical issues. Escalation point for a global lines of business.
Responsible for ensuring team members are trained and in compliance with Corporate policies and procedures.
Comply with the desktop group practices and procedures.
Monitor and manage remedy queues to ensure tickets are being resolved in a timely manner (aging of tickets).
Identify technical and process issues and recommend improvements, document and implement depending on impact.
Monitor technician metrics on ticket volumes and resolution levels and manage accordingly.
Coordination and consulting with client areas to help analyze problems and needs and recommend technical solutions.
May have indirect project budget responsibility.
May have direct or indirect project team or functional area supervisory responsibility. May have global leadership responsibilities.
Responsible for compliance with applicable corporate policies and procedures.
Maintains productive relationships with peers and management in IT and clients.
Works independently without direction for day to day activities. Escalates to management for non routine issues or client-related issues.
Highly complex work activities covering technical, financial and quality aspects. Work involves creative application of wide range of technical and / or management principles.
Impacts the performance of a group of technicians and the clients that they support
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
2-3 years of leadership experience or 5 years of IT experience.
