SAMPLE INTAKE SPECIALIST in West Lafayette, IN AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated team member for our West Lafayette, Indiana facility. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential attributes. In this role, you will: Create new projects in LIMS, assign project leaders and back-up project leaders, approve projects, and submit all necessary paperwork, and notify the appropriate personnel as projects are created. Assist with receiving, processing, and maintaining all samples, reagents, and reference standards according to cGMP. Return and/or destroy samples after project completion. Work with project leaders to determine which samples should be returned to client; generate appropriate correspondence and update LIMS. Support domestic and international shipment of materials (including hazardous materials) via various means of transportation. Comply with DOT, IATA and RCRA guidelines for shipping samples. Communicate with clients effectively regarding sample receipts, sample discrepancies, etc. Serve as backup for daily data logger downloads and balance calibrations. Serve as backup for administration duties, i.e. visitor check-in, directing telephone calls, etc. Follow written and verbal instructions and work with minimal supervisionQualifications and background to be successful in this role: Required High School Diploma or equivalent Good organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail Demonstrated ability to focus on tasks and flexibility in organizing work and priorities Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. Preferred 0-2 years inventory experience LIMS and sample management experience is a plus Knowledge of DOT and IATA shipping regulations All interested applicants must apply online.
