Corteva Agriscience Seed Quality Testing Specialist in Tipton, Indiana
Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Seed Quality Testing Specialist in Tipton, IN at our Tipton Seed Quality Facility. Corteva Agriscience offers an excellent benefits package that begins on your first day of employment.
This position is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and evaluation of seed samples for quality testing while demonstrating thorough knowledge of seed sampling practices.
NOTE: This role is PART TIME.

Perform quality testing procedures in accordance with ISTA, AOSA, and sampling guidelines, and assess testing requirements according to established guidelines.
Verify and record quality test results with consistent attention to detail.
Perform all duties with a high level of accuracy in order to maintain the integrity of quality results.
Assist in monitoring the proper functioning and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Maintain a clean, healthy and safe working environment in compliance with Safety and Health guidelines and housekeeping practices.
Train on cross-functional tasks in other functions of the laboratory on processes that may need additional support during high volume or critical periods.
Monitor product for quality assurance and ensure activities meet the requirements of the Quality Plan.
Actively seek to reduce redundant and unnecessary testing.
Recommend and implement measures to improve productivity, performance, methods, troubleshoot issues, and identify quality defects.
Develop and maintain good communication and rapport with site personnel and employees from other Corteva departments.
What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?
High School Diploma or GED
1 or more years of work and/or school experience in an agriculture or biological or related field
Detail oriented with a history of transactional excellence and accuracy
Interest in or knowledge of advanced seed testing activities and equipment such as moisture, seed count, vigor, germination, and weed seed identification
Basic Microsoft Office skill level
Willingness and ability to work with repetitive tasks and motions while maintaining high attention to detail
Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary
Willingness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
The following are preferred:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Biology, or related field
Receiving and inbound processing experience
Certified Viability Technologist (CVT)
Certified Purity Technologist (CPT)
Certified Seed Analyst (CSA)
Registered Seed Technologist (RST) or Completion of RST certification once in role
