Our work depends on an experienced Software Developer Advisor joining our team to act as a bridge between Software Development IT Operations by being the hub for which Software Development, Quality Assurance, Build Management and Deployment intersects. This is remote based role. Candidate must reside in the US

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Development Duties: Non-architectural, mid-level design/ Commit to coding schedule.

  • Maintenance, health and performance of our “Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure” and enhancement of its operations. This includes but is not limited to performance, monitoring, security and maintenance of systems and network related infrastructure.

  • Focus on PopMedNet and related product development and develop software under the guidance of Software Architect, develop automated build and deployment scripts as needed and provide infrastructure support for the Development and QA as part of an Agile team.

  • Build and Deployment Management: Support continuous integration process/Automate software delivery

  • Working with development teams on technical issues and break-fix resolution and assisting developers in building and deploying projects when requested.

  • Manage and maintain virtual servers (including but not exclusive to web, database, etc.) that supports the Agile Software Development Life Cycle for development, QA, Edge, Staging and Production.

  • Maintaining our systems and network stability through system monitoring, performance tuning, and routine maintenance tasks such as log file auditing, account audits, etc.

  • Maintaining the accessibility, integrity and confidentiality of information. by enforcing security and compliance policies. Participating in periodical maintenance tests to ensure that system recovery works properly.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Ability to understand and implement feedback from architects, UX designers, senior developers, testers, and users.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with written and spoken communication skills are critical

  • Fast learner with the tools to find answers to problems quickly.

  • Self-Motivated and self-directed. You will be expected to take an assignment and take it to completion. This means knowing when you need to ask questions and when you need to push through problems and solve them yourself to ensure that you meet deadlines and quality expectations without delaying others unduly.

  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident

  • Must reside in the US

Required Skills:

  • C#/.NET/Entity Framework/Linq

  • HTML5/XML/JSON/CSS

  • JQuery/JavaScript/TypeScript

  • Web Services/Web API

  • SQL/SQL Server

  • Design Patterns such as MVC, IoC, and Dependency Injection

  • An intimate knowledge of the tools: Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, browser debugging, etc.

  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration Process utilizing Azure DevOps or similar

  • Understanding of IIS and MSDeploy

Preferred Skills:

  • Postgres/Oracle

  • Kendo/Knockout/Razor

  • PowerShell

  • Network Protocols

  • Virtual Machines such as Hyper-V, Virtual Box, VMware, etc.

  • Understanding of OSI model, TCP/IP architecture and HTTP/s protocol

  • PowerShell scripting and creation of custom Cmdlets for reuse
