Summary: The Order Expeditor is responsible for tracking orders at the plant level and review accordingly for material availability, to include inbound coil deliveries, incoming transfers from other facilities, and inbound accessory orders. This includes timely communication to affected manufacturing and commercial team members when shortages, delays, or other issues arise. OTIF (On Time In Full) results will be the key performance indicator for this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain safety, quality and production, plan schedule and assign workload. Coordinate job schedule with Operations Planner to be in line with customer needs. Participate in Plant BBS Program Check open orders, expected receipts, and material availability reports to ensure material is available for all upcoming orders. Partner with shipping to coordinate fulfillment of backorders when material delays do occur. Communicate to coordinate activities of individual departments to meet a common goal. Provide timely communication to applicable commercial and manufacturing team members when delays or other issues arise. Attend morning leadership meetings to discuss material availability status Review MIP and MIP sleeper statuses and recommend changes as needed. Unique special projects or additional duties as designated by Plant Manager or Operations Planner. Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend documents including but not limited to policy manuals, safety rules/programs, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and simple correspondence, In addition, the ability to communicate information effectively one-on-one and in small group situations and settings is required. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform general mathematic calculations including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, and statistics. Some positions may require advance mathematics. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to perform work instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form a must. In addition; the ability to solve problems, which involve multiple variables in a standard situation, is required.
