Aerotek Grease Tech in Rockport, Indiana

Description:

The Grease Technician will perform greasing/lubrication functions on 10,000 grease points on equipment and machines throughout the plant using manual grease guns and related equipment.

  • They will print off a pre-planned daily maintenance schedule which will direct them to the area and equipment that must be greased that day and/or change oil and filters accordingly.

  • They will ensure proper operation of automatic greasing equipment (auto-lubers and farval systems, changing out filters and tubes, etc.)

  • They will also perform service technician functions where they count inventory and report on chemicals used throughout the plan, inspect fluid levels, sample and refill gearboxes and hydraulic units on-site, and report leaks.

  • They will also perform receiver functions where they inspect and unload chemicals, fluids, and zinc (bulk truck unloading through hoses and fork truck unloading).

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • Basic Understanding of Mechanical Equipment in an industrial setting (e.g., bearings, motors, pumps, etc.)

  • Ability to travel long distances on foot and climb up and down stairs)

  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
