Aerotek Electronics Technician in Plainfield, Indiana
This company is one of the largest Medical Device companies in the world. They manufacture cardiac devices, cranial & spine robotics, insulin pumps, surgical tools, patient monitoring systems and more. The Plainfield site focuses on non-invasive devices.
The person in this role should be able to troubleshoot and repair electronic devices down to a sub-component level at a minimum. They should also be able to use Microsoft software and experience in a regulated industry is a plus
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
Provides technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development.
Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems.
Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations. For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes.
Technical problems faced are generally routine, but may require interpretation of procedures or policies to resolve problems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of electronic troubleshooting experience (can be from military trainings, internships, schooling, etc.)
Ability to troubleshoot down to the subcomponent level/circuit board
Experience within a highly-regulated environment (FDA or ISO-regulated; Med Device, Food, Aerospace, etc.)
Associate's Degree (preferably in an engineering discipline)
Experience within a Medical Device facility
