The Maintenance Crew Leader is responsible for supervising, directing and coordinating the work of all mechanics and electricians who are assigned to work under their direction. This position requires shift work Monday through Friday as well as covering weekends. The primary role of the maintenance crew leader is to provide safe and efficient execution of assigned work as scheduled, monitor crew time, provide problem analysis for equipment history, and appropriate action in response to emergencies. Major activities include: * Troubleshoot equipment failures on-shift as well as collect data for further analysis by reliability personnel. * Lead safety pre-job reviews as well as observations of work executed on-shift. * Acts to maximize the productivity and quality of the work assigned to their work force and gives prompt attention to emergency jobs. * Submits accurate reports of work execution activities. * Administers company policies as they relate to assigned personnel. * Maintains close liaison with production, support groups, maintenance planners, engineers, and other crew leaders. Basic Qualifications * High school diploma/GED required. * 2 years of experience in heavy industry (aluminum, steel, mining, paper/pulp, etc.). * 2 years of experience in electrical or mechanical trade/industrial maintenance. * 2 years of experience performing maintenance/troubleshooting on rotating equipment (pumps, gearboxes, etc.). * 1 year of experience utilizing a CMMS. * 1 year of experience troubleshooting PLCs. * 1 year of experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic circuits. * 1 year of experience utilizing process data to troubleshoot equipment issues * Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
