Manage the manufacturing processing & pre-production integration teams including managing, and developing staff.
Set and manage performance targets for direct reports.
Contribute to the development of the businesses to deliver stable products & processes.
Work alongside Service to deliver world class reliability.
Provide labor cost information for service orders.
Perform time studies on all operations as required to establish manpower.
Assist in resolving standards and work load related grievances.
Provide leadership in vehicle scheduling to stabilize plant manpower, material and increase quality.
Analyze direct, indirect labor based on budgets.
Review work orders and cost savings projects.
Supervise the Manufacturing Engineering Department.
Responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process.
Provide leadership for Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering initiatives for the HMMWV product lines.
Project management; cost studies and analysis results for plant management decisions.
Assist in developing and implementing cost reduction programs.
Establish and maintain labor standards.
Ensures management has correct information for contract modifications and bid packages to finalize cost and proposals for all product lines.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Minimum of BA or BS degree; preferably an advanced degree with experience in a technical area.
Minimum 5 years in an Engineering Management position
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and or move objects up to 25 pounds.
