Industrial Plating, Inc Maintenance Technician in lafayette, Indiana

Primary Responsibilities:Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipmentProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine servicePerform simple machinist duties and responsibilitiesPerform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machinesRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceDiagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustmentsPerform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilitiesPerform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functionsUse a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing dutiesDetect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisionComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areasAdditional Responsibilities:Work outside of normal business hours as requiredOther duties as assignedEducation, Experience, and/or Training;High school graduate or equivalent preferred1-5 Years experienceAnnual Hazwoper refresherForklift certifiedJob Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Working knowledge of plating tank chemistry (CEF certification helpful)Good organizational skills and the ability to follow instructionsAbility to lift and move 1 - 75 lbs. as neededAbility to interact with coworkers and supervisors in a cooperative mannerAbility to maintain a regular and reliable attendance recordAbility to manage multiple jobs at the same timeFluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English languageAbility to work independently without supervisionEquipment Used:Required safety equipment - Glasses, aprons, boots, face shields, respirators and gloves as neededPneumatic, Electric centripetal, centrifugal, peristaltic, and diaphragm pumps for transferrin chemicalsHoists, various saws, drills, torches, analytical equipmentLog books for documentation of maintenance schedulesSDS sheets for proper safe handling of chemicalsOther equipment as requiredJob Type: 2nd Shift (4pm - 12am) Full-TimeSalary: Commensurate on experienceRequired Education: High School Diploma or EquivalentRequired Experience: Maintenance Technician: 1 - 5 years minRequired Language: EnglishPreferred License or certification:Forklift CertifiedConfine SpaceHazwoper
