The FCA Quality organization is currently seeking a solutions-oriented Quality Center Lead to join the Quality team at the Kokomo Transmission Plant in Kokomo, IN. The Quality Center Lead is responsible for transmission quality systems. The selected candidate will be responsible for design, development and execution for the Kokomo Transmission Plant. This position is also responsible to establish and measure key quality performance indicators. In addition to leading cross functional implementation of strategic quality initiatives and best practices and serving as a key point of contact for assembly plant customer base and determining root cause of quality issues.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Achieve plant and corporate quality targets and key performance indicators

  • Audit the process and product standards for conformance

  • Responsible for Quality and Customer Safety Pillar

  • Plan, prioritize, set goals, and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment

  • Display effective communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership

  • Benchmark world class manufacturing quality organizations and systems and execute

  • Commitment and dedication in delivering a premier product to the consumer

  • Represent the “Voice of the Customer” to the platform teams

  • Drive team success by clarifying expectations and minimizing political hurdles

  • Demonstrate unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievements

  • Implement and manage quality system and control best practices

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, other technical degrees may be considered with relevant experience

  • 7+ years of Quality, Manufacturing, and or Design/Release engineering

  • 7+ years of experience in electrified or hybrid powertrain systems

  • Supervisory experience leading people and larger teams/departments

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build solid partnerships both internally and externally

  • Capable of shaping a clear strategic vision and effectively communicating that vision

  • Expertise in planning, prioritizing, and goal setting including the ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency, create detailed action plans, and organize schedules, people, and tasks

  • Experience working in a lean/flat organization with cross functional skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Engineering or Management degree

  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering related to hybrid and electrified powertrains

  • Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing (WCM)

  • 5+ years leading cross functional teams

  • 5+ years supervising union and non- union employees
