Global Payments, Inc. Debit Card Operations Analyst I in Jeffersonville, Indiana
The primary function of the Debit Card Analyst is the researching and processing of Debit Card exception items to ensure cardholder and merchant are paid accurately and timely. The team will investigate and resolve customer requests regarding Debit Card Processing and proactively resolve PIN debit Exceptions. This position is also responsible for ensuring Cardholder and Merchant adjustments are completed accurately, and within Network Timeframes.
Research and resolve unmatched debit card transactions resulting from reconciliation processes completed by the acquirer, the gateway, and the client.
Investigate, validate and resolve PIN Debit inquiries received from internal/external customers utilizing appropriate departmental on-line applications/resources.
Perform financial adjustments to cardholders and merchants as necessary to resolve exception activity.
Review and resolve PIN Debit Chargeback requests.
Effectively handle all straightforward customer queries assigned to you to ensure these are completed following the appropriate procedure and/or policy
Provide accurate and concise written and verbal responses in all internal and external customer communication
Monitor mailboxes and maintenance queues as assigned
Complete assigned projects and tasks within provided ETA
Escalate any urgent or non-standard requests to the department leadership team
Identify and inform management of product, process or system issues/failures making objective recommendations for process improvements
Update the appropriate systems/spreadsheets following completion of customer queries in an accurate and timely manner
Use online systems to review and interpret merchant data and educate merchants to better understand Global Payments and PIN Debit network standards and guidelines
Proactively monitor and work PIN Debit Exception reports to validate, resolve and clear discrepancies
Document all actions taken and any communications with internal and external customers clearly, timely and accurately.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent
Strong written and verbal communication
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office with working knowledge of Word and Excel
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to act as a team player
Appropriate system knowledge and keyboarding skills
Ability to learn new functions or applications
High standards of professionalism and customer service
Ability to work unsupervised and prioritize own workload to meet specified deadlines

Strong analytical skills
Open to flexible work hours that may include shifting schedules, weekend, and overtime work.
