That's how our heritage has led us to evolve from a piano maker to one of the leading contract furniture manufacturers to craft what's next so everyone can perform at their best.Job Description:The Quality Technician is responsible for utilizing quality assurance tools (APQP) and techniques designed to prevent product and process non-conformances, thus driving improved performance levels. This will involve working within our value streams to coach and develop other members of the team.Job Requirements:Provide expertise in data collection and analysis in assigned area of responsibility. Utilize advanced product quality planning tools (part approval, process flow, cpk studies, pfmea, control plan, auditing) for product and supplier development.Work with product development teams to assure new parts meet specifications and suppliers understand and are capable of producing too.i Execute necessary APQP tools to ensure state of readiness regarding engineering changes.Provide problem solving leadership using effective problem solving tools.Initiate and drive corrective and preventive actions within assigned area of responsibility.Provide measurement system analysis as required in assigned area of responsibility.Validate and disposition non-conforming materials.i Perform product and process capability analysis.Lead or participate on quality improvement teams.Perform and ensure the effectiveness of product and process audits within assigned area of responsibility.i Provide input to process controls in order to establish, maintain, or improve process stability.Clarify and communicate product specifications within assigned area of responsibility.Communicate quality related information in assigned area of responsibility.Provide coaching and training to support team and shop floor employees.High School Diploma or GED ASQ Quality Certification a plusBasic Manufacturing VISA Sponsorship:Kimball International, Inc. will not sponsor applicants for this position for employment/work visa status (e.g..
