This position will perform efficient and thorough mechanical repairs and or maintenance of all rental equipment in the shop.ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities:Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failuresAssist in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining equipment and componentsUnderstands the operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of any piece of rental equipmentCompletes all documents associated with repairs in a accurate and timely mannerAdhere to managers and lead mechanics directions regarding all repairs and service callsAdheres to all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in work areaSupervisory Responsibilities:No formal responsibility for supervising othersQualificationsRequired:High School Diploma or GED1 year or more of work related experience in a technician related positionPreferredCertificate acquired through a vocational or technical school3 years or more of work related experience with heavy equipment preferably with a rental company or Caterpillar and/or in a position with a working knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, electronic/electrical systems etc.Must have required shop hand toolsKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
