MacAllister Technician - Rental in Indianapolis, Indiana
Rental Mechanic will perform efficient and thorough mechanical repairs and or maintenance of all rental equipment in the shop.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures
Assist in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining equipment and components
Understands the operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of any piece of rental equipment
Completes all documents associated with repairs in a accurate and timely manner
Adhere to manager’s and lead mechanic’s directions regarding all repairs and service calls
Adheres to all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in work area
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
1 year or more of work related experience in a mechanic/technician related position
Preferred
Certificate acquired through a vocational or technical school
3 years or more of work related experience with heavy equipment preferably with a rental company or Caterpillar and/or in a position with a working knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, electronic/electrical systems etc.
Must have required shop hand tools
