Oracle Technical Program Manager - Identity and Access Management (JoinOCI-PPM) in Indianapolis, Indiana

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 2 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team is a ground-up effort to build Infrastructure-as-a-Service operating at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant public cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best in class compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever-expanding set of foundation cloud-based services. We’re looking for technical program managers to drive a variety of business-critical programs.

Identity at OCI?

Identity allows users to control who has access to their cloud resources. The team provides the platform for Authentication, Authorization and Federation for services that use and are part of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Identity services includes components like Control Plane allowing manipulation of resources such as Users, Groups, Policy, Dynamic Groups; Data Plane that provides an API / keys for request signing and authorization (AuthZ); Sign-on user interfaces which authenticate users (AuthN).

The Identity Team provides a ‘tier zero’ service and as such supports literally every other team and customer within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. As part of the Identity team you will helpeffectively deliver business results. We are leaders, motivators, and strategic thinkers working across teams and offices to ensure collaboration, communication, visibility, and successful delivery of programs.

We need Technical Program Managers to help deliver large business initiatives.

  • Monitor progress to plan and design a recovery strategy if project deviates from baseline plan;

  • Communicate to a variety of audiences from project team member to executive;

  • Design and manage effective meetings to communicate status and coordinate efforts;

  • Collaborate with peers, managers and team members across the organization to solve problems, develop plans, coordinate workand drive roadmaps;

  • Create mechanisms to help facilitate and minimize processes, allowing development teams and managers to focus on delivering direct customer value.

  • Mitigate risks to quality, timelines, operational excellence and / or customer experience.

  • Partner with executives and stakeholders to define and deliver key performance indicators.

About you:

  • Able to drive clarity for a team (or teams) in the midst of ambiguity.

  • Experience facilitating cross-functional meetings, managing up, down and with peers.

  • Enjoys a dynamic environment, staying flexible through organizational growth and change.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to read and write code in Python, Java and / or JavaScript.

  • 2-3 years of experience in a cross functional technical program management role.

  • Experience with enterprise software and cloud technologies.

This is a remote role. You can work from anywhere in the United States. Post-COVID, you can choose to work from a local Oracle Office.
