Tech Support Associate


Kelly Government Solutions is hiring for a tech support associate on a government contract with our customer in Indianapolis, IN. This is a contract to hire assignment.


Performs a wide variety of technical tasks in the production/test environment. Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains and installs a wide variety of electronic and electromechanical assemblies. May assist in the development of procedures. Selects, sets up and operates engineering and scientific equipment. Observes, analyzes and reports test data; and when appropriate makes necessary repairs to equipment. Utilizes various engineering and scientific drawings, manuals and other related documentation in the performance of their tasks. Checks for work correctness. May assist in directing work, assigning and outlining tasks.

What are the main functions of this role?

  • Under Limited supervision performs a wide variety of technical efforts including processes, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs RF equipment.

  • Performs tests and utilizes various engineering drawings, manuals and other related documentation in the performance of their tasks.

  • May also work on Analog, Digital and High Voltage circuits as well. Observes, analyzes and reports test data.

Required Skills:

  • Four to six (4-6) years’ experience testing RF circuitry.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings to perform measurements and troubleshoot electronic equipment.

  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome technical challenges.

  • Working with high-level test equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues to a component level.

  • Ability to think outside the box.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office/ computers.

  • Experience with RF.

  • Ability to multitask.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience using a wide variety of electronic RF/analog, high voltage, digital and other electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers and power meters.

  • Familiarity in these testing areas is recommended: insertion loss, VSWR, phase, gain, amplifiers, crystal detector circuits for fault monitoring, analog to digital conversion, up converting / down converting, crystal/ SAW oscillating, multipliers, S-band, L-band and X-Band frequencies.

  • Previous experience working in a depot on military hardware.

Education Level Required:

High School (minimum) with previous military experience and/or secondary training.
