JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Systems Administrator who will be responsible for maintaining and administering our company?s computer infrastructure systems. Primary duties will include maintenance of hardware and software systems, such as servers, storage, load-balancers, identity/access management systems, and other related technologies. This person will be part of the Infrastructure Engineering team that is responsible for designing and deploying scalable, maintainable, highly available technology solutions that support business objectives. This person will also play a significant role in securing company data and applications, ensuring compliance with security policies, detection of cyber attacks and anomalies, and troubleshooting operational issues.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Configuring and installing servers, storage, and network devices and services (e.g. load-balancers, DHCP, DNS)

  • Maintaining inventory documentation

  • Performing network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations

  • Managing user credentials and system access

  • Monitoring performance and ensuring system availability and reliability

  • Monitoring system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning

  • Providing Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues

  • Training IT support staff to perform common administrative tasks

  • Managing cloud-hosted services (e.g. Office 365, Salesforce)

  • Collaborating with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

  • Coordinating with Security Team to implement security measures for safeguarding sensitive information (HIPAA, PCI, etc.) information against accidental or unauthorized usage, damage, modification, or disclosure

  • Working within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure

  • Recommending security tools, policies, and procedures in support of the company's infrastructure and security objectives

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 3 years professional experience in network administration

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and their components, including Active Directory, security policies, DNS, and failover clustering

  • Experience managing Office 365 user accounts, mailboxes, and licensing

  • Experience with Ivanti Security Controls (Shavlik) or similar patch deployment software

  • PowerShell scripting experience

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks/project concurrently

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic team environment

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience with VMWare Horizon View VDI

  • Windows Deployment Services, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, Microsoft InTune, or other operating system imaging and configuration tools

  • Understanding ITIL framework principles

  • A+ or Microsoft certifications

  • Experience with mentoring/training junior team members
