Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. Sr Inventory Control Analyst in Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Description:

The Senior Inventory Control Analyst will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager at HP Products Corp. This position will oversee the inventory flows of the HP Product warehouse location increasing and maintaining company profitability by ensuring the optimal level and age of inventory levels to minimize storage costs, meet the organization’s production and customer demands, and assist with making ordering decisions for goods.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with verification of requisites for additional stock items; Monitor daily PO’s prior to release to ensure alignment of expected inventory turns and potential inventory obsolescence

  • Manage and analyze dead & excess inventory and partner with marketing, purchasing and warehousing to help determine ways to dispose of or sell obsolete items

  • Perform routine audits of the entire inventory on a regular basis and provide reports to management

  • Assist purchasing team with managing supply chain lifestyle activities for demand and inventory planning

  • Assist with developing and implementing procedures for ensuring adequate inventory levels are always present

  • Monitor, research and identify supply chain service trends and issues to prevent failures, resolve and correct issues, and provide an on-going platform to support improvements of stock levels and labor management effectiveness

  • Partner with Operations on conducting cycle counts on inventory, schedule categories for Cycle Count inventory and maintain strict records; monitor daily inventory adjustment report and summarize changes for management

  • Monitor inventory transfer report and partner with the Operations and Purchasing teams to ensure inventory transfers are posted timely & accurately

  • Assist with leading and coordinating periodic physicals as required (example – demo equipment, parts inventory, consignment, QC, etc.)

  • Responsible for all inventory performance reporting for the company, including monthly dead Y excess, transfers, days of inventory KPI by warehouse, fill rates by item & location, backorders by location, inventory turns by item analysis

  • Perform month end analysis related to inventory costing/valuation; inventory reconciliation, ensure inventory cost is accurate for all warehouse locations, analyze inventory/buy-in opportunities, report cost/savings potential and impact on days on hand inventory and vendor rebate programs

  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules regulations and procedures

  • Participates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management
