Aerotek Specimen Processor- 1st & 2nd Shift in Indianapolis, Indiana
The primary role of candidates will be to process, scan, and register samples on SM's Storage team and Pull-Pack team. Part of this is scanning the samples into their internal system after testing, and organizing the samples correctly on where they need to go-- to a lab for testing or to a different place for storage.
Candidates must follow correct SOP's while handling the samples and documenting their work. Throughout a day, candidates will be responsible for processing thousands of samples. This position is very fast paced, requires candidates to be on their feet a majority of day, work in 1-2 station areas, and keep information documented in the system in real time. Specimen Processing is under the Operations Unit and is separated into 3 teams-CenterlinX, LPS, and SM.
SM (Sample Management) as a while is the team that takes samples from testing into storage, or moves them from one storage unit/freezer to another. This team is also very active and on your feet, could be using dry ice, and is crucial for client satisfaction during and after a trial.
SAR (Search and Rescue) will work with samples that are in storage or in the pretesting process to find and resolve and issues related to the samples.
