Business Technology is looking for an experienced Workday Sr. Product Analyst-HCM with an extensive background in building scalable and innovative solutions for human resources. This role will join the product group dedicated to supporting the Employee Success (HR) organization here at Salesforce. Our ideal candidate enjoys working in dynamic and high-growth environments and is experienced in managing complex projects in support of an overall HR philosophy and strategy. We are looking for candidates with deep expertise with business analysis and Workday Core configuration.
Work effectively with Employee Success (HR), Business Partners and Business Technology (IT) teams to document and prioritize requirements for Workday systems
Write functional specifications for new functionality, configure system changes within Workday
Partner with ES and BT teams to evaluate how best to use Workday technology to meet evolving business requirements and information needs
Help manage and share information from Workday Community with the BT team and Employee Success teams; This includes logging brainstorms, monitoring release notes and sharing details on webinars.
Ensure solutions promote simplification, scalability, accuracy and an increasingly higher level of productivity for users.
Provide functional support during technology upgrades/implementations and work successfully as a liaison with Employee Success, IT, and other partners
Identify test scenarios, develop test scripts, and execute testing in support of system and user acceptance testing to ensure that new configuration meets end-users needs
Understand the business process of the customer and play the role of advocate for customer needs
Support the implementation of change management activities
Partner with the BT and ES support organizations to provide knowledge transfer, support and technical assistance to end users
Assists with backlog grooming of new enhancement requests
Participate in Agile scrum team as the central subject matter expert
Bachelors Degree, or equivalent business level experience
3 years experience with Workday HCM and Compensation modules.
Experience with Talent module preferred.
Ability to inform detailed requirement and solution design trade-offs
Ability to contribute to cross-functional and cross-technical dependency management
Ability to provide guidance to the product roadmap for other teams/functions
Ability to anticipate and communicate blockers, conflicts, and obstacles
Connect-the-dots between business strategies and product deliverables
Understanding of business process analysis, requirements and design, data modeling, detailed functional design, test planning, and UAT execution
Implementation and support experience with global HR systems from gathering and documenting complex business requirements through testing and production rollout. Workday specific experience preferred
Change management skills including communication, testing, training and business system and process transformation
Self-starter, highly motivated, with ability to shift directions quickly when priorities change, think through problems to come up with innovative solutions and deliver against very tight deadlines
Willingness to receive direction and guidance within a team environment, adopt and develop best practices and circumnavigate obstacles with creative technical solutions
Workday implementation and/or support experience with global HCM and compensation planning systems.
Experience with the Salesforce.com platform and related cloud or web based technologies
Experience with AGILE development methodology
Knowledge of web applications and integrations with Workday
