Wolters Kluwer Senior Order Management Specialist in Indianapolis, Indiana

Under general supervision, processes complex orders for software/data. May serve as a mentor for other staff. May follow orders from placement to delivery, using a manual and/or computerized order processing system. Maintains records of orders, prices, and related data under defined procedures.

Responsible for managing customer order activity from signed contract submission to processing the annual account renewal. To include reviewing contract to ensure accuracy of product being invoiced, setup for access/fulfillment, processing of product changes/cancellations/suspensions, processing credits/upsells, and calculating and processing the upcoming renewal pricing based on company or contract language.

The Senior Order Management Specialist has a significant impact on the financial management of Wolters Kluwer revenue stream. The individual is required to work with various departments resolve customer issues. Responds to internal inquiries (Sales, Finance, etc.) by researching order processing status or issues, product fulfillment and/or billing questions.

The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, and requires independent analysis, decision-making skills. Use prior experience and knowledge of company policies and procedures to resolve non-standard problems.

The Senior Order Management Specialist will demonstrate strong ability in problem solving, bringing new ideas and creative solutions to existing processes and issues. Thriving in fast paced, rapidly changing environment

Knowledge/ Skill Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or over 5 years order management experience

  • Experience with complex billing, sales orders, contracts strongly desired

  • NetSuite and/or Sales Force proficiency desired

  • Strong Customer Service skillset desired

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required

  • Able to construct effective communications in writing and by phone is required

  • Strong focus on detail and accuracy, proactive

  • Analytical problem-solving ability

  • Strong knowledge of Excel beneficial
