Summary:

The Central Engineering team within the Integrity Investigations and Intelligence organization provides usable, scalable, and reliable engineering solutions to a group of teams that protect people on our platforms by deeply understanding complex and emerging threats in the world, on the Internet and on our platforms. Required Skills:

  1. Develop and improve on technical products used to facilitate security and intelligence investigations

  2. Code using primarily PHP, React, Python, Haskell, etc.

  3. Partner with other engineering teams to provide holistic solutions to surfacing and responding to emerging threats

  4. Manage multiple projects at once while effectively prioritizing time based on team priorities

  5. Work closely with security investigators to identify process improvements and countermeasures to stop or prevent abuse

  6. Lead multiple projects at once while effectively prioritizing time based on team priorities

  7. Proven ability to thrive in an unstructured and ”move fast” environment

  8. Proven ability to communicate and work successfully cross-functionally

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

  2. 4+ years of experience in software development

  3. Experience writing production level code in OOP languages, e.g. PHP, Java, etc.

  4. Experience with scripting languages, e.g. Python, JavaScript

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. M.S. or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

  2. Experience working with and manipulating data to inform designs and engineering solutions

  3. Time management, organizational skills and self-motivation

  4. Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail

  5. Experience as a software developer at an Internet-based company

  6. Experience in system, network, and/or application security

  7. Experience contributing to the security community (public research, blogging, presentations, open source contributions, etc.)
