Charles Schwab Remedy Digital Workplace Developer (Software Developer II) in Indianapolis, Indiana
Your Opportunity
This role will execute tasks related to enhancing and supporting the Remedy Digital Workplace software technology for the enterprise. The Remedy Digital Workplace is a critical component to the IT ordering and service center experience for the firm. This role will be a key developer of enhancements to service offerings, development of new service offerings and order forms, as well as supporting the system operationally to maintain service levels. This role will be accountable for understanding business requirements in terms of stories following agile delivery methods, soliciting requirements for clarity, and development to meet acceptance criteria.
This individual contributor role must demonstrate an innovative attitude and knowledge of the BMC Remedy platform technology, specific to Digital Workplace in support of the Request Fulfillment process area. Candidate must have demonstrated experience and comprehension of programming logic and design, workflow and logic diagrams, SQL and debugging concepts.

Excellent written and oral presentation skills leading to successful interactions with technical and business audiences
Soliciting requirements for understanding, collaborating with business requestors to ensure understanding prior to development
System documentation, runbooks, workflow and procedure documentation
IT Service Management processes – specific to Manage Request Fulfillment, Service Catalog concepts, CMDB/Configuration and Change Management and ITIL
Aggressively seeks opportunities for automation
Provide improvement ideas to development team peers, and motivate change towards the improvement of the Digital Workplace “front-door” to IT services and support
Act as the internal specialist for the tools and technologies in place with a full understanding of their capabilities and limitations
Consult and establish relationships with product teams to align process to technology, stakeholders that represent user base – such as ITSM process teams, service desk, end user computing, infrastructure and application teams
What you have
3+ years of demonstrated experience in development and support of the BMC Remedy Digital Workplace (DWP) or Remedy
Technical proficiency and experience of programming logic and design
Workflow design and implementation, diagrams and building/releasing in a DWP environment or Remedy
Experience and proficiency with SDLC and Agile frameworks
Excellent written and oral presentation skills leading to successful interactions with technical and business audiences
SQL and debugging experience and concepts
Experience facilitating Incident Management triage/Problem Management cause identification and remediations. Provides proactive, alternative solutioning where needed.
Builds trusted relationships with colleagues around the firm and across multiple levels of the organization
Collaborates daily with users, peers, vendor support, external and internal partners
