Assist with maintaining facility functions in partnership with manager(s).MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSDEGREESAssociate's Degree (Preferred) Businessor Food Service preferred.JOB EXPERIENCEThree years experience in retail food (i.e., bakery/deli), food services or related area required. Knowledge of produce and warehouse operations preferred.One year produce lead/supervisory experience.General understanding of USDA regulations and OSHA requirements; ServSafe food safety certification preferred.RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIESSupervise the day to day production activities to ensure to meet production demands in a timely manner and according to specifications and regulations, as well as productivity, sanitation, quality control and safety standards. Work with cross-functional departments as it relates to ensure prompt and timely resolution of any issues.Create schedules and assign work to associates within the department to meet deadlines and ensure completion of workload and product orders; responsible for production activities (i.e., product procurement, preparation, production planning, packaging, labeling and selecting) and hours worked.Monitor manufacturing practices of associates to ensure the food safety of all products produced and monitor production rates to improve productivity.Responsible for product procurement and/or inventory; ensure that raw product quality specifications are met, maintain a physical inventory of products, ensure proper slotting for finished product, and ensure proper completion of paperwork and purchase orders (PO?s).Provide excellent customer service; understand customer preferences, ensure proper quality and quantity of customer orders, ensure accurate order selection and care for products.Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment. This may include, but is not limited to: ? Ensure compliance with company procedures and governmental regulations (i.e., safety, sanitation, etc.); ? Oversee and ensure the cleanliness of the work environment; ? Ensure proper maintenance of and report any issues related to equipment, and ensure proper training to operating and maintain mechanical equipment; ? Promote and reinforce safety and effective use of equipment and compliance with facility procedures regarding usage and traffic flow; and ? Report and/or address any issues or work-related injuries, and participate in any investigations as required.Ensure team is properly trained, coordinate and lead pre-shift meetings and ensure timely communication with associates on various topics (i.e., safety, manufacturing, changes in practices/policies, etc.)Responsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management and career development of associates, and developing and monitoring department goals.Assist with maintaining facility functions in partnership with manager(s).Maintain current knowledge of USDA regulations, federal inspections and sanitation regulations, industry trends and best food preparation practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes and to ensure company legal compliance.
