We are seeking a high energy, data driven, results-oriented Quality leader to lead the Quality and Industrial Engineering teams.

Specific responsibilities for this position include:

  • Define and drive quality metrics and develop projects to reduce cost of quality through improved processes in manufacturing and repair centers, to include process yield improvements, customer ppm reductions, root cause analysis and warranty cost reductions

  • Work with suppliers, engineering, manufacturing and sourcing teams to drive quality improvements, minimizing the costs of quality, specifically field failures and factory defects

  • Provide direction to quality engineers and industrial engineering as will indirect supervision to quality managers and field technicians

  • Oversee the analysis of field failures, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints

  • Provide recommendations for improvement as a result of the disposition, flow, tracking, and failure analysis trends of suspect material from production fallout and Technical Support product returns

  • Work with Engineering, Product Management and Operations to ensure transfer to manufacturing of new products are in accordance with approved requirements

  • Work directly with engineering to resolve design or manufacturability issues when/if they are found to be suspect as the failure mode

  • Work closely with manufacturing to drive quality efforts such as root cause analysis, process audits, and continuous improvement

  • Proactively engage with supplier/partners on quality improvement expectations and opportunities

  • Conduct routine quality reviews with supply chain management, supplier/partners and service providers

  • Work closely with quality assurance and engineering on change control, documentation, testing and deployment of related software tools and platforms

  • Work with engineering to ensure product test plans are developed and executed in accordance to internal and external design requirements and other applicable standards

Education / certifications:

  • BA/BS degree w/10+ years experience

  • MA/MS degree w/7+ years experience

Degree in quality or electronics engineering; Master’s degree preferred


  • 7+ years' experience in a related electronic or manufacturing environment preferred

  • Proven skills in analytical assessment of field failure trends, patterns, indicators, and/or clues as they relate to the identification of root cause

  • Proficient in Process Certification tools and processes, including CpK & PpK analysis

  • Certified Six Sigma Black or Green belt highly preferred

  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and Project Management software

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective at influencing at all levels and cross-functionally

  • Exceptionally strong analytical and diagnostic skills

  • ISO/Lean quality system knowledge

  • FMEA experience highly preferred
