PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Technician, in Indianapolis, IN.

Comply with all safety regulations and conduct all activities in a safe, efficient manner.
Cleans packaging rooms and machinery in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Principles (cGMPs).
Performs manual or automated assembly, filling, packaging and labeling of pharmaceutical products. Ensures adherence to specifications and the highest quality standards.
Accepts or rejects in-process clinical supplies and drug products according to acceptability standards determined by Good Manufacturing Principles, customer requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Labels and assembles both blinded (following a randomization schedule) and open clinical supplies in conjunction with other FCS personnel ensuring proper label placement.
Accurately counts out and prepares packaging supplies to ensure proper accountabilities prior to and at the completion of a job order. Assists Quality Assurance personnel, Production Supervisors and Line Leaders in staging and reconciliation of components as required.
Performs final check of work in-process and finished products and then packs these goods into appropriately labeled containers.
Assists in staging and reconciliation of components as required.
Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
High school diploma or GED
The ability to read, write and complete basic mathematical calculations.
Minimum of 1 year experience in packaging or production-type setting.
Allergies to specific drugs, like penicillin and cephalosporin, may disqualify individuals from performing these duties.
Manual and finger dexterity.
Attention to detail.
The ability to do repetitive tasks and learn new ones with assistance from supervisors and fellow employees.
Accurate counting and understanding of batch paperwork to ensure proper assembly of clinical studies.
Long periods of standing while working in rooms.
Exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 lbs. of force frequently to move objects.
Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respirators and protective eyewear as required.
Vision requirements for this position: Near Vision Acuity with minimum 20/40 corrected vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
