PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Technician, in Indianapolis, IN.

  • Comply with all safety regulations and conduct all activities in a safe, efficient manner.

  • Cleans packaging rooms and machinery in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Principles (cGMPs).

  • Performs manual or automated assembly, filling, packaging and labeling of pharmaceutical products. Ensures adherence to specifications and the highest quality standards.

  • Accepts or rejects in-process clinical supplies and drug products according to acceptability standards determined by Good Manufacturing Principles, customer requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Labels and assembles both blinded (following a randomization schedule) and open clinical supplies in conjunction with other FCS personnel ensuring proper label placement.

  • Accurately counts out and prepares packaging supplies to ensure proper accountabilities prior to and at the completion of a job order. Assists Quality Assurance personnel, Production Supervisors and Line Leaders in staging and reconciliation of components as required.

  • Performs final check of work in-process and finished products and then packs these goods into appropriately labeled containers.

  • Assists in staging and reconciliation of components as required.

  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • The ability to read, write and complete basic mathematical calculations.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in packaging or production-type setting.

  • Allergies to specific drugs, like penicillin and cephalosporin, may disqualify individuals from performing these duties.

  • Hand-eye coordination.

  • Manual and finger dexterity.

  • Attention to detail.

  • The ability to do repetitive tasks and learn new ones with assistance from supervisors and fellow employees.

  • Accurate counting and understanding of batch paperwork to ensure proper assembly of clinical studies.

  • Long periods of standing while working in rooms.

  • Exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 lbs. of force frequently to move objects.

  • Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respirators and protective eyewear as required.

  • Vision requirements for this position: Near Vision Acuity with minimum 20/40 corrected vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
