Evaluates vendor quotes and/or services to determine most desirable suppliers.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Authorize payment of invoices or return of merchandise.May compare transportation options.Examine, select, order, and purchase at the most favorable price merchandise consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements and other factors.Interview and work closely with vendors to obtain desired products.Negotiate prices, discount terms and transportation arrangements for merchandise.Use computers to organize and locate inventory, and operate spreadsheet and word processing software.Expedites components for faster delivery dates to meet production requirements.Performs purchasing and other recordkeeping duties.Purchases all components and services related to the manufacture of finished product, maintenance, repair and operations.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:High School Degree or equivalent required.Microsoft Office suite experience preferred.
