Shift: 3rdShift (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.)
Diamond Chain Company, the world’s leading manufacturer of high performance roller chain products is seeking a proven Heat Treat Supervisor to oversee daily activities and lead the Heat Treat team.
The Heat Treat Supervisor will lead the heat treat team to exceed safety, quality, productivity and delivery initiatives. The ideal candidate will have heat treat leadership experience in a high production environment.
Supervise the 3rdshift heat treat and fabrication work force, while providing functional,technical and process leadership.
Use technical knowledge and training initiatives to develop and motivate heat treat operators.
Conduct pre shift meeting with hourly direct reports to discuss agenda for the day and any safety updates.
Ensure the execution of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost initiatives within the heat treat department to meet Company objectives.
Ensure production schedules are followed with on time delivery a key metric.
Track and analyze production data to drive the improvement of key metrics
Communicate, coordinate, and problem solve with all plant personnel.
Drive a continuous improvement culture through appropriate root cause and corrective action using lean manufacturing principles.
BS degree preferred.
Minimum three years’ experience in heat treat with background knowledge of furnace operating systems preferred.
Minimum three’years supervisor experience in multi-process industrial manufacturing environment.
Exposure to coordinating and planning material flow.
Proven ability to execute and deliver on short term and long term productivity goals.
Ability to hold others accountable and drive for results.
Ability to drive change and lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity and cost.
Ability to analyze data to drive decision making.
Willing to work manufacturing hours across three shifts and weekends as needed.
Preventative maintenance background and exposure to lean manufacturing and best practices.
Proficient use of MS Office, specifically Excel.
