The BT M&A Infrastructure lead engineer will be responsible for assessing, developing, and executing on a strategy to integrate and migrate IT infrastructure technologies and processes for acquired companies. This includes, but not limited to cloud services, server applications, identity management, compute (physical and virtual), network, client endpoints, security remediation, and collaboration technologies (email, document sharing, chat, etc). The Lead Engineer will help drive standards for integration and partner across IT teams to provide recommendations across these infrastructure domains for existing and new acquisitions. The position will need to be able to interact with and present to peer engineers, the business, and senior leadership. Frequent travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive audit and discovery of acquisition’s infrastructure environment.

  • Document and collect asset inventories, service catalogs, process diagrams, architectural diagrams.

  • Evaluate and propose integration strategies for process and technology based on Salesforce standards.

  • Scope out the integration effort based on resources, schedule, cost, complexity, and risk.

  • Partner across IT teams to execute on integration strategies.

  • Partner with security to remediate any security gaps of services, systems, and network.

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of integration process and technology standards across infrastructure domains.

  • Negotiate adherence to standards and manage expectations with the business.

  • Communicate updates and present recommendations to executive leadership.

  • Assist in developing training and user communications strategies.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 7+ years of broad IT work experience including operations, build, design, integration and architecture in Enterprise environments.

  • Prior experience with acquisition and integration projects (or equivalent migration projects).

  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies or concepts quickly.

  • Breadth of knowledge of various infrastructure services, cloud services, systems, storage, databases, network, client endpoints, collaboration services, and identity management. Experience with G Suite, O365, Slack, Confluence migrations and integrations is a big plus.

  • Must be a self starter. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and balance conflicting demands.

  • Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Ability to drive for delivery of projects across multiple teams.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience presenting highly conceptual and/or detailed designs to senior leadership, fellow architects, and peer engineers.
