The Role:

The business intelligence manager will develop and support operational reporting, data engineering work and our business intelligence application suite in Einstein Analytics. You will be responsible for building prototypes, optimizing and delivering data for core portfolio of KPIs. Partner with cross functional teams to evolve 1-3 year roadmap, engage in critical development and innovation of Tableau and Einstein Analytics dashboards . You will also contribute to setting the vision for and delivering the future of Finance Operations at Salesforce. In this role you will work on high impact business insights projects with high visibility and used by Salesforce executive (CEO, CFO and their leadership teams). You will be encouraged to leverage and implement latest Salesforce products and technologies. In addition, you will often be responsible to address and solve for adhoc/unstructured problems in a highly fast paced environment requiring quick turnaround and partnership with key stakeholders across the company. You will responsible for presenting options and recommend solutions to key senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Build data feed prototypes from enterprise data warehouse and other data sources into the FI Data Mart

  • Take complete ownership of the data quality for the data feeds built and have a passion for high quality data

  • As we expand into other platforms, build and implement data prototype across diverse technology platforms ie Oracle databases, Python, Talend, cloud platforms like Heroku and enterprise big data cluster

  • Closely work with Metric owners and users to build the next generation data integration capabilities which in turn will support a variety of finance processes

  • Use your expert understanding across a number of tools and work with IT team to build data analytics solution/ integrations

  • Have a high sense of urgency to deliver projects as well as troubleshoot and fix data queries/ issues

  • Always be on the lookout to automate and improve existing data processes for quicker turnaround and high productivity

  • Collaboratively work and act as liaison with IT and Product teams in an agile environment, to meet deadlines

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Have a bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field with at least 5 years experience in a highly technical data organization

  • 7+ years experience in writing complicated database queries in SQL language (Oracle, Hive, etc)

  • 3+ years of experience in ETL design and implementation using Informatica/Talend

  • Extremely proficient in Python and unix serve scripting as a must

  • At least 3 years hands-on experience in big data, Hadoop Ecosystem of Tools

  • Experience working with very large data sets, knows how to build programs that leverage the parallel capabilities of Python and big data platforms

  • Strong understanding of database performance concepts like indices, segmentation, projections, and partitions.

  • Experience working in a data warehouse environment with diverse data sources and visualization tools like Tableau, Einstein Analytics and Business objects

  • Salesforce experience/ certification is a plus but not required

  • Communicates in a clear, concise and timely manner and operates effectively as a team player

  • Strong executive presence and presentation skills and Experience presenting to senior-level leadership or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)

  • Confident in managing and executing projects with cross-functionally with various stakeholders from start to finish

  • Self-directed/driven with excellent organizational skills

  • Must be comfortable with changing requirements and priorities

  • Resourceful with a strong work ethic and are willing to go the extra mile to get work done. Must be results oriented and ability to move forward without complete information

  • The ability to manage and develop a high performing team by leveraging individuals strengths and fostering opportunities for improvement

  • Strong desire to explore and learn Datas science related technologies. Proactive in identifying uses-case and solutions
