Click here to view a brief video and learn more: https://youtu.be/YNuZN0vyzHg The Infrastructure Automation Lead will provide technical guidance and organizational leadership to The Infrastructure DevOps / Automation Engineers on Raytheon’s Navigation, Weather and Services (NWS) Programs. These teams design and develop CHEF recipes and cookbooks that deploy and configure operating systems, COTS products, and related software systematically building up our complex applications from bare metal servers. The Infrastructure Automation Lead will need to be a strong influencer across the teams. Areas of responsibility will range from technical and program status & direction including scope definition; Earned Value Management (EVM); status reporting; Metrics collection and communication. The Infrastructure Automation Lead will also be responsible for the team’s annual and semiannual performance reviews and will work with the organizational leadership for merit increases and promotions. US Citizenship is required due to the candidate needing to hold a current US Secret Security Clearance. Note: Candidates with a current US Government Secret Security Clearance (or higher) are eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus if the clearance is confirmed and the candidate is hired by Raytheon Key Responsibilities include: •Direct line management activities for employees in the Section, including performance management, career development and resource allocation •Provide daily technical direction and leadership across teams to ensure all technical issues are addressed. •Demonstrate that the section is effectively executing work to deliver on-budget, on-time, correct, high-quality, complete work products, utilizing IPDS-based Engineering work packages and productivity measures •Demonstrate the development of staff to meet the needs of the staffing/training/development plans •Collaboration across the overarching Infrastructure and Automation team to ensure overall program deadlines and milestones are met within scope. •Status reporting to Organizational or Program leadership as appropriate. Required Skills: •Experience with automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible to perform operating system builds; as well as software installation and configuration activities •Experience leading small to medium (5-25) person teams and ability to influence engineers who are not direct reports •Experience in leading the definition, development, and test of DevOps pipelines and methodologies •Exceptional communication skills with extensive experience working with a wide range of leadership or customers •Knowledge in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, or PowerShell •Knowledge of COTS software installations •Strong attention to detail with results-oriented mindset •Eight (8) years or more of related work experience Desired Skills: •Current Existing DOD-Secret clearance •Experience performing Earned Value Management on a Government Contract •First-hand experience as a Scrum Master using the JIRA Toolset to execute programs using agile methodology •Experience and understanding of Jenkins •Experience as a Linux System Administrator •Experience as a Windows System Administrator Education Requirements: Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with emphasis in Computer Science or related field and 10 years of related work experience or 18 years of related work experience in lieu of a STEM degree IISIndy 124182
