The Lilly Professional Apprenticeship Program is a 12-month intensive fixed duration (FDE) professional development program during which the apprentice receives a combination of formal training, on-the-job learning, and mentoring in a key functional area to be equipped to compete for a Lilly position after successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Responsibility Statement

The Information Security Apprentice would receive the opportunity to learn trouble-shooting and lifecycle management skills with ultimately growing into a product/tool steward.  There are many security tools that we leverage to manage our security posture.  Some of those tools are ripe for optimization and this apprentice would get the chance to shepherd that development and optimization for Information Security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in operations to ensure the effective delivery of security tools services to theorganization

  • Execute on programprojects in support of team’smission

  • Develop, plan and preform configuration changes and upgrades to securitytools

  • Learn and provide technical knowledge in order to optimize servicedelivery

  • Problem resolution on relevant security tools

Basic Qualifications

Requirements:

HS Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of related or professional experience. Proven experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

Additional Skills/Preferences

Desired Experience:

  • At least 1 year of college and/or associate degree in a related field.

  • Experience, knowledge and desire to work in Pharma /Healthcare

  • Preferred background in IT

  • A passion for security and an innate inquisitiveness

  • Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills

  • Ability and willingness to work in a multicultural virtual and remote teamenvironment

  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well in a teamenvironment

  • Strong organizing/multi-tasking skills and attention to detail

  • Learning agility and self-management skills

  • Strong research and analytical skills
