Industrial Electrician Indianapolis, INRTP Company, headquartered in Winona, MN, is a global compounder of custom engineered thermoplastics. The company has over 20 manufacturing plants located in the United States, Mexico, Germany, France, Singapore, and China. RTP Company engineers develop customized thermoplastic compounds in over 60 different engineering resin systems for applications requiring color, conductive, elastomeric, flame retardant, high temperature, structural, and wear-resistant properties.RTP Company is currently seeking a 1st Shift Industrial Electrician at our Indianapolis, IN facility to work in our Maintenance Department. This position is responsible for the repair, installation, and preventative electrical maintenance of plastic production machinery and facility electrical equipment. The individual is held accountable for recognizing and troubleshooting all electrical problems related to production. This person must also take a proactive approach to preventative electrical maintenance to improve equipment reliability and life.QualificationsMust hold a Journeymans License or Electricians LicenseMust have completed NFPA 70E training within the last 3 years3-4 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance preferredForklift and scissor lift experience preferredMust have the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment in a manufacturing facilityMust have the ability to follow equipment manuals and drawings to adjust, align, replace, or repair machinery and keep records such as work orders and test and maintenance reportsMust have strong PLC and electrical skillsMust be skilled with automation programming softwareMust be proficient with Microsoft OfficeMust be able to effectively communicate with other departments within the facilityMust have the ability to work overtime and weekends as neededMust have ability to work independently, solve problems, and make decision within the scope of the position with little directionMust follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulationsMust have a positive attitude, be dependable, flexible, and have excellent attendanceMust be able to read and follow manual and proceduresAll new hires are required to pass a drug screen, physical, and PPE fit test.We offer a highly competitive benefits package and a competitive pay based on experience.
