General Position SummaryField position where the incumbent will serve as a member of a team assigned to installation projects. Responsible for all of the processes and activities involved with executing the highest level of quality installations and or reconfigurations as executed from the Installation Foreman or Installation Supervisor. Primary responsibilities include understanding and accurate installation of various makes and models of systems furniture.Essential Functions / Major responsibilitiesThorough understanding of the basic steps and principles of systems furniture installation.Continue to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all manufacturers and models of systems furniture.Continue to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the efficient installation of all manufacturers and models of systems furniture.Continue to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of installation documents and designs.Continue to develop understanding of Data / Communication involvement in a project.Continue to develop understanding of Electrical involvement in a project.Continue to develop understanding of Information Systems involvement in a project.Continue to develop understanding of the Commercial Movers involvement in a project.Continue to develop understanding of the Designers and /or Project Managers' role in a project.Develop thorough understanding of efficient unload and staging of systems furniture.Ability to accurately communicate and execute with all of the above.Develop and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with coworkers and subordinates.Continual development of leadership skills and training of coworkers where needed as executed by the Installation Foreman or Supervisor.Adhere to all company policies and procedures relating to both Management guidelines and Employee Manual.Promptly respond to allegations of discrimination and/ or harassment, and initiate appropriate action.Additional job assignments or projects as directed by immediate supervisor as deemed necessary for the benefit of the company.Specific Job SkillsExcellent communication skills, both written and oral.Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to work in a fast paced environment.Ability to coach, mentor and teach.Education and/or Experience Minimum of one year experience in the installation industry preferred.Possession of mechanical aptitude.Ability to Drive Non-CDL straight trucks, pack vans and service vansJob ConditionsDemanding fast paced work environment.Overtime and travel when necessary.
