The Indianapolis Preprint Facility is currently recruiting for Flexo Press Assistant/Helper. The assistant/helper will work in conjunction with their team members to operate the industrial printing press to manufacture preprinted linerboard.
Full Benefit Package
Starting Pay $20.98/hr & up to $24.28/hr
You must be able to work a customized rotating shift (12 hour shifts, switching from nights to days, 3 and 4 day on/off combinations and one 7-day off period per month) requiring some weekend and holiday work. This is an air-conditioned, high-tech team environment that offers on-the-job training in our state-of-the-art processes, excellent promotional opportunities and career growth. Qualified candidates will be highly-motivated individuals that meet the following qualifications:
Able to perform all the following press skills over time (we provide training):
Unwind – Operation of roll unwinder, Fife guides, ultrasonic cleaner, roll handling equipment, roll preparation
Rewind – Operation of roll rewinder, AVT inspection system, core saw, roll handling equipment, roll preparation
Inks – Management and the handling of ink kits and ink drums, press robotics
Material Handling – Management of roll stock, operation of fork/clamp trucks, loading & unloading trucks, off-line rewinder/slitter
Knowledge of the flexographic printing process a plus.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift 40lbs
Stable work history and great attendance
Self-directed and able to work effectively in a team-based environment
Previous manufacturing experience desirable
Good interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills. (Microsoft Word and Excel)

Drive toward an achievable press schedule.
Responsible for all paperwork and checklists created in the production process.
Follows all published Work Instructions.
Works in Rewind, Unwind, Ink or Material Handling as required.

Special projects and other duties as assigned.
