The Salvation Army - Metro Division Data Systems Administrator in Indianapolis, Indiana
Overview
The Data Systems Administrator supports the on-going use of the Indiana Division’s data management systems, specifically The Salvation Army Information Management System (SIMS). In addition to ongoing maintenance, the Administrator will complete data quality checks and coach end users to ensure accuracy with input to improve quality. The Administrator will provide analysis to data as requested and prepare accurate reports as requested.
Responsibilities
• Develop proficiency with The Salvation Army Information Management System (SIMS)• Monitor the system on an ongoing, scheduled basis, responding immediately to security or usability issues• Analyze data for internal and external reporting and monitoring purposes, creating reports as requested• Provide training and ongoing technical support to end users to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completion, conducting training as needed• Maintain current knowledge of the Service Point System and the Policies and Procedures• Integrate programs into the organization’s data management system and create data entry workflows to meet their data collection and reporting needs
Qualifications
Education: Computer systems degree or certification required
Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed. Findings may disqualify an individual for this position.
Experience: Two years professional experience in computerdata system implementation strongly preferred, experience training end users preferred, experience in social services setting a plus, experience with Service Point or similar platform strongly desiredCertifications: Database administration certification will be considered in lieu of a degree. Position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass The Salvation Army’s MVR and maintain the driver’s qualification standard
Skills/Abilities: Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership and field personnel, ability to be flexible under pressure, attention to detail and ability to prioritize, ability to multitask working on simultaneous projects, strong abilities with Microsoft Office required
