Regal Beloit Corporation Commodity Coordinator III in Indianapolis,, Indiana
The Commodity Coordinator III provides critical tactical support for commodity management to facilitate products and services delivered to the quality, cost, and delivery performance levels. Ensures all engineering, customer, security, and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements are met and will support the commodity managers to execute commodity strategies, support operation excellence, and Regal’s growth and innovation needs.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Finance (SCF) System Administration – Subject Matter Expert (SME)
With direction performs commodity / part price updates in Oracle ERP system: ASL, Sourcing Rules, Blankets, etc.
Performs data mining & spend analysis reporting in support of Commodity Managers assigned commodities
Timley completion of the End of Month True Up summary reporting & invoice processing
Prepares Request for Quote (RFQ) packages, develops and analyzes spreadsheets as needed.
Initiate PPAP in system to support production on schedule and quality conformance.
Resolve invoice price discrepancies and make corrective action to avoid future issues reoccurring.
Analyze data to identify issues, opportunities and to produce effective solutions while executing special projects as assigned.
Monitor supplier performance data, alert commodity manager to underperforming suppliers and/or opportunities for supplier reduction, customer fill rate improvements.
Investigate and identify potential suppliers and provide recommendation for qualification and addition to supplier list
Maintain suppliers information in system
Compiles meaningful and relevant KPI / Dashboard Reports for corporate suppliers - as a critical input to Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
Cross-train on Regal’s Oracle E-Souring Platform activities performed by E-Souricng Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Performs project facilitation & oversight activities in support of critical cost out projects - under the guidance of Commodity Managers or Sourcing Director
May be assigned responsibility for one or more smaller spend commodies
Education / Experience / Skills:
Education requirement: possess or pursuing a 4 year degree related to supply chain, logistics, business, engineering or manufacturing
Min. 5 years purchasing, sourcing experience or relevant experience.
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to be an influencial team player
Working knowledge of ERP and database level systems, as well as knowledgeable in the use of electronic collaboration tools
Advanced Word, Power Point and Excel, intermediate Access PC skills
Ability to function well in a rapid paced, multi-task environment
Travel: Some travel may be required
