American Health Network Clinical Trainer / Analyst in Indianapolis, Indiana

American Health Network, an Optum Health company, is seeking a Clinical Trainer/Analyst to assist practices with workflow efficiencies, cost savings, standardized patient flow methodology to correlate with the functionality of the EHR/EPM software applications, and provide training resources to the practices, in both Indiana and Ohio locations, for clinical integration. Responsibilities:

Organizes training programs and provides education and instruction to end-users on clinical tasks related to EHR/EPM template utilization based upon end-user and organizational needs.
Assists with development and delivery of population specific learning, and evaluates training outcomes.
Conducts ongoing clinical support training needs assessments of organization.
Designs and delivers training materials to educate users during the implementation process of strategic and standard techniques. Provides support to end-users by participating in a continuous support plan of system training related issues for clinical support staff. Essential Functions:

Identifies risk areas in documentation and partners with site and department leaders to correct. Collaborates with various departments within the enterprise, exercises excellent interpersonal skills. Effectively presents content in formal classroom environments. Skills:

Ability to facilitate change and learning. Ability to understand organizational goals and communicate how the training efforts support organizational goals. Ability to think logically in order to troubleshoot, analyze situations, and make appropriate and informed decisions. Proficient in computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail systems, and web-based programs. Knowledge of current medical terminology to perform various tests and procedures, complete medical records documentation, and communicate with providers, staff and patients. Qualifications and Experience:

Ability to travel 50%, overnight travel is required approximately 15-20% of the time and may require multiple days, up to a week at different locations (Indiana and Ohio practice locations). Ability to hold and maintain a valid driver's license and insurance. Current Medical Assistant certification or LPN license preferred. Three years of clinical experience in a medical office/healthcare setting is required. EHR/EPM-NEXTGEN software experience a plus. Advanced presentation skills; comfortable teaching and instructing in large classroom environments.
