Corteva Agriscience Biological Characterization Sciences Intern - 3 Month (Indianapolis, IN) in Indianapolis, Indiana


Grow what's next. Grow your future. Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Biology Characterization Lab Intern to participate in a 3-month internship! Corteva sponsors a few internships each year in agricultural research at its Biology Characterization Lab (BCL) in Indianapolis, Indiana. The BCL is responsible for supporting late-stage product development and characterization. The BCL specifically conducts greenhouse- and lab-based crop protection research in plant pathology, weed management, entomology, and nematology. As a Biology Characterization Lab Intern you will have the opportunity to obtain diverse experiences within one of these disciplines.

Position duration is May to August 2021.

Responsibilities – What You'll Do:

  • You will work as part of a team in greenhouse trial initiation and management. Tasks may include plot preparation, treatment application, data collection, data analysis, and report writing. You may also be tasked with leading small projects associated with assay development/protocol validation. You will manage your own research project with the expectation of a verbal report to the larger intern group at Corteva Agriscience.

  • Intern positions provide excellent experience that can be applied to full time positions in the industry, or in preparation for additional graduate level training in the plant sciences.


Qualifications – What You'll Bring:

  • At least sophomore standing at an accredited university

  • Education focus in Agronomy, Plant Physiology, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Weed Science, Biology or a related field

  • Agricultural background beneficial

  • Greenhouse experience beneficial

  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0

  • Must be enrolled at an accredited university at the time of internship
