In this role you will play a critical role supporting our laboratory operations inventory management, ordering of supplies, equipment management and maintaining reference materials. You will also be expected to:

Provides support to Chemistry technical and/ or operations staff by ensuring project-related supplies, equipment, and other consumables are readily available.

  • Ensures project-related supplies are available to operations staff in a reliable and timely manner.

  • Monitors correspondence to anticipate incoming requests.

  • Enters information and assumes responsibility for accuracy of data in the Nautilus database.

  • Coordinates resolution of reference standard/Blank issues with Principal Investigator/Study Director and lab staff.

  • Ensures reference standards/Blanks are stored appropriately and units are maintained.

  • Maintains accurate equipment inventory, including maintenance tracking.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

    Laboratory Resource Coordinators are the most successful at Covance by Labcorp with:

  • Previous procurement experience and establishing/maintaining vendor relationships.

  • Previous experience managing inventories for laboratories, medical offices, university departments, etc.

  • Knowledge of computers and software applications, especially word processing, highly desired (preferably MSWord, WP, Excel, CMS).

  • Basic understanding of laboratory environment.

  • Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and manage a workload for large and complex projects.

  • Great organization and time management skills.

  • Proven problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) or equivalent degree in life sciences or chemistry.

  • Experience may be substituted for education. For example, a two-year Associate degree plus 4 years applicable experience with increasing responsibility may be substituted for a BS/BA degree.

  • Knowledge of study design supply requirements in applicable Chemistry discipline.

  • Knowledge of computers and software applications, especially word processing, highly desired (preferably MSWord, WP, Excel, CMS).


  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience

  • Knowledge of Covance SOPs, P&Ps as well as regulatory agency guidelines is preferred.

  • Proven organization, observation, and problem solving skills.
