  • Responsible for the technical development, processes and standardization across the different CLS functional areas.

  • Lead initiatives that will enhance current or integrate new systems and industry standards into the CLS functional areas.

  • Ensure appropriate support on existing technical tools and solutions deployed across the different CLS functional areas.

  • Provides mentoring support to the department’s users.

    Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop new processes and procedures to support deployment of new technical solutions.

  • Modify existing processes and procedures as needed to support modifications to existing systems.

  • Assist in testing and validation of new systems and enhancements to existing systems.

  • Help resolve applications problems as required.

  • Monitor logs, user activity and resource utilization of production environment.

  • Write, maintain and document scripts as needed in support of applications and solutions development.

  • Provide expert assistance with development of assets within technical solutions supported by the BI Technical team.

    o Develop new processes and services both internally and externally to leverage new system tools in the clinical data management teams.o Participate in initial interactions as required with clients to establish new standards or drive CCLS standards across various clients. Direct customer interaction might be required.

  • Analyze and measure data quality levels, identify data quality issues, and work with users and other IT functions to facilitate data quality improvement on data used by Business Intelligence Center.

  • In conjunction with IT and Solutions Architects, develop and maintain small to large scale systems.

  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, quality and productivity.

  • Support the long term needs of CLS functional areas based on defined strategic roadmap.

  • Effective and timely adherence to management communications, meetings, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Education/Qualifications:

  • Associate degree required, Bachelors preferred in information technology, project management or information systems.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years experience supporting clinical trials or 5 years in information technology project management

  • Strong negotiation skills to facilitate, guide, influence and produce a unified approach within a global cross-functional environment

  • Intermediate computer skills

  • Recognized experience in programming logic and database structures for one or more of the following: .NET, Object Oriented Programming principles, Web, WinForms, WPF, SOA, ETL, Excel and Access products.

  • Conversant with databases and database terminology

  • Strong and proven ability to use computer and office software applications
