  • Schedule supplier procurement requirements using SAP and other tools

  • Support plant customer satisfaction goals by achieving product fill rate targets

  • Investigate and implement new opportunities for managed inventory to achieve BCVS inventory (Cash Flow) objectives

  • Track and achieve additional departmental/product segment performance targets (ie: linear planning, aged past due, D.I.O.H., etc.)

  • Expedite incoming material to meet plant production build plan and customer requirements.

  • Support and participate in IATF16949 and other plant quality initiatives

  • Work with internal operation stakeholders to ensure inventory accuracy and lean material flow.

  • Monitor and minimize incoming premium transportation costs

  • Participate in managing supplier transitions

  • Assist in dispositioning supplier invoicing issues

  • Monitor and escalate materials without a source

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Support Product Safety Management and execute activities defined in Quality Procedure Q-01-002

  • Use of six sigma methodology

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical, computer and organizational skills

  • Sound communication skills; presentation, written and oral

  • Must work well in a participative team environment

  • Innovative self-starter, goals and task oriented with a bias for action

  • Strong customer (external and internal) focus and commitment

  • Problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated multi-tasking ability

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office Applications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in associated discipline such as Business Management or Materials Management

  • APICS certification desirable

  • Greenbelt certification or QS Auditor a plus
