Title: RigiDuct ForemanLocation: Grand Junction, COShift: 2nd, full timeWage: $15.50/hourPosition SummaryTo load, operate and adjust pipe machines in the production of fiberglasspipe, fittings and other special products.Participates in the ISO - Quality Assurance process by demonstrating anoverall commitment to quality.Essential FunctionsProduces, mixes resin and monitors the manufacturing of fiberglass pipe andfittings. Weighs and records all pipe and fittings manufactured.Inspects materials continuously throughout the process to identifyimperfections which are flagged and recorded. Flagged materials are eitherreworked to attain the appropriate quality level or scrapped accordingly.Prepares shipments of finished goods which include: confirming orders,stenciling identification labels, weighing shipments and loading goods.Performs daily production entry.Physical Requirements: Twisting - Frequent; Bending - Frequent;Standing - Frequent; Knelling - Frequent; Walking - Frequent;Sitting - Frequent; Small Motor Skills; Lifting up to 50 lbs. - Often.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWraps mandrels as part of initial preparationManufactures reducers and adapters.Draws and cuts-out fittings and performs final assembly.Weighs pipe and fittings.Unloads raw material shipments from trucks and loads finished products intotrucks.Fabricates tools and molds.Performs trouble shooting of mechanical problems.Notifies General Supervisor of any major incidence of recurring equipmentmalfunction or poor quality raw materials or production.Assists with inventory counts as requested.Executes further tasks as requested by Management.Foreman's dutiesTrains new employees in the DepartmentSupervises employees in the DepartmentControls allocation and use of personnel within the DepartmentDirects and guides employees in the performance of their dutiesMaintains and monitors inventories of raw materials, supplies and finishedgoods as deemed necessaryPerforms other duties and handles special projects from time to time asassigned by the Plant Manager.Reviews employees' performance, confirms accuracy of daily time sheets andprocesses vacation requests.Performs departmental quality controlHelps Plant Manager in overseeing preventative maintenance needsEducational Requirements/Work ExperienceBasic math aptitudeHigh School diploma or equivalent preferredKnowledge and SkillsKnowledge of tow motor operations, as requiredBasic math aptitudeKnowledge of mold and tooling fabricationKnowledge of welding equipmentBasic mechanical natureAbility to work on all machines in the DepartmentKnowledge of safety rulesEquipmentEquipment utilized includes: pipe machines, tow motors, various handtools, hoists, welder, reducer, and adapter, winder, variousscales and saws and resin mixers.This Job Description is intended to describe the general content of, andrequirements for, the performance of this position.
