Lippert Components, Inc LEAN Coordinator in Goshen, Indiana

The Lean Coordinator leads improvement projects related to process and continuous improvement in the areas of quality, operations, productivity, and cost using Lean methodologies and tools.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct One Significant Project Per Quarter

  • Help Facilitate other Selected Project Owners by utilizing your expertise

  • Focus on Creating a Culture of Change where everyone is empowered to make improvements

  • Be the Change Agent for your Support Staff (General Manager)

  • Create a "Leader as Teacher" Learning Environment

  • Responsible for the Performance of the Quality Team and Corrective Actions

  • Track all Projects in your Facility/(s) and Update Master Project List with updates and Savings Monthly

  • Coach Practical Problem Solving Team Members in your Facility/(s)

  • Develop Systems based on the Lippert Interiors Production System

Specific Functions

  • Optimize Cubic Feet Utilization in your Facility/(s)

  • Maintain and Update Facility Layouts

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend and overnight work can be also necessary.


Local travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  • Must be able to demonstrate Lean Manufacturing knowledge and skills

  • Must be able to manage and interact effectively with diverse groups

  • Must have excellent customer service skills

  • Must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Good communication skills; read, speaks and writes English fluently

  • Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred

  • Must possess an understanding of efficient manufacturing processes

  • Problem-solving skills, Leading Team skills, and Analytical skills

  • Understanding of cost and financial impacts

  • Proven Improvement and Line Balance track record

  • Relentless at waste elimination

  • Master facilitator, great communicator, earns respect from co-workers instantly

  • Has insane passion to coach others in Lean/Continuous Improvement

  • Deep understanding of Logistics, Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Industrial Engineering

  • Experience and Deep Understanding of Warehousing Best Practices

  • College degree required; Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology, or other related field experience preferred

  • Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification in related field with extensive proven hands on experience is preferred but not needed

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be able to pass EVerify.
