The main responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer include:
Driving improvements in all related manufacturing processes, including those relating to products, equipment, human interface and product quality.
Providing technical support for all critical process and product issue resolution.
Implementing engineering changes as required.
Prioritizing assignments for the department to meet all plant goals and objectives.
Collaborating with management and production staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
Assisting in implementation of health, safety and environmental projects.
Specifying, justifying and implementing capital equipment purchases and improvements.
Participating as a member of the Plant Quality Steering Committee.
Utilizing process control and capability tools, as well as applying Lean tools and concepts.
Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a comparable discipline and at least 3 years in an engineering management field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have previous experience working with production equipment, manufacturing processes, capital expenditure justification, preventative maintenance, and all aspects of supporting manufacturing operations. Candidates must be creative, motivated, and capable of handling multiple projects in a structured and organized manner. Must also have strong leadership and communication skills.
