Job Opening:i Quality Inspectori (2nd Shift)Starting Pay:i $15.00Apply Online:i for a Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift.Position Summary:Under limited supervision, performs quality-related activities including in-process visual inspection and documentation of materials required to complete production and the quality of current production and finished goods.iResponsibilities:Maintains resin and scrap logs; log resin changes; enter daily scrap quantities from all shifts; retain and file quality audit reports.Retain and log the first and the last piece from production runs; Measure/Gage and log the first piece; perform visual part inspection including a comparison to the last off.Testing products at specified stages in the production process, and testing products for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.Perform in-process inspection, visual and measurements, as required per the inspection sheet and/or Work Instructions; Performs first/last piece inspection; (e.g., devices (micrometers, calipers, and gauges i taper, attribute, pin, depth, etc.).The technician records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures. Evaluates data and issue reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.Performs calibrations for all measurement tools in order to assure the accuracy of tools and compliance to ISO-9001 and TS-16949 requirements.Performs dimensional layouts and test procedures to qualify tooling and/or product. Knowledge of and aptitude for measurement devices such as calipers, test chambers, micrometer, etc. is helpful.Performs product monitoring through variable and attribute data collection; performs process audits to monitor quality system control effectiveness through Process Checks, LPA's, and Dock Audits.Active team player in problem-solving product and process issues; knowledge with investigating the root cause and corrective actions.may be required to support internal and/or external sorting activities as well as backfill for production when needed.Responsible for the care and use of inspection equipment (gages to be kept clean and well organized); organizing and filing of Inspection documents.iiJob Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent with Plastics Injection Molding experience, Quality Auditor experience; Preferred 6 months of work experience at Accutech for product knowledge.May substitute with an Associate Degree or higher in manufacturing or related field.Ability to do basic math and legible writing.Ability to provide attention to detail.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to effectively communicate with operators, supervisors, and management.Ability to read, understand and follow both verbal and written instructions.Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.Ability to perform root cause analysis.Ability to use a variety of measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, gauges i taper, attribute, pin, depth, etc.).Ability to use a variety of computer applications (Microsoft products, databases, etc.).Experience with UniPoint and Job Boss preferable.iiSpecial Position Requirements:May be required to work overtime.May be required to work on weekends.May be required to work off-shift hours.i iWork Requirements:Ability to distinguish color variation (gloss levels, hues, tones).Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds.Frequently bend, stoop, squat, or twist.Frequently sit, stand, walk or drive.Repeatedly grasp, push/pull, or perform other finger and hand manipulations.Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, or twist.Equal Opportunity Employer
