Primary responsibility will be the maintenance, operation and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for the Distribution Center. Will perform repairs, document solutions and recommend further action.
Schedule: 1st; 4 day, 10-hour shifts (days TBD)
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Install and/or replace equipment, components and materials throughout the facilities
Maintain and repair material handling equipment
Make daily mechanical check on equipment in the Mechanical Room, Main Electrical Room, Generator Room, Main Telephone Room, Mail Room, and General Office Area
Maintain electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems and make necessary repairs
Perform preventative maintenance tasks and record required information
Monitor preventive maintenance and repair work done by outside contractors
Operate building controls and automation systems
Conduct air sampling in conjunction with investigation of suspected ammonia refrigeration system leaks
High School diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver’s license required
Must have your own tools
Proficient in the use of various hand operated and powered tools, equipment and maintenance devices (pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, mechanical, etc.)
Experience maintaining and repairing material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and dock equipment such as plates and restraints
Knowledge of tools and equipment maintenance devices
Ability to read and comprehend manuals, prints, and work orders
Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and preventative care to avoid mechanical breakdowns
Graduate of building related vocational/technical programs, previous work with ammonia refrigeration systems and electrical certifications preferred
