Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Associate, Software Engineer for Spectral Solutions programs with experience in Agile/SCRUM and DevOps. The software engineer will provide engineering and engineering support as an individual contributor under technical direction and be responsible for developing application test and data analysis or embedded software. They will be involved in the entire software life cycle, including software implementation, integration, debugging, and full documentation.

Essential Functions:

  • Contribute to business acquisition, requirements analysis, design, code and unit test, integration and test, requirements sell off, and operations and maintenance of application or embedded software systems

  • Ensure that products/projects delivered meet customer requirements and specifications

  • Drive process improvements to aid in team coordination and maintain delivery schedule

  • Communicate with leadership on status, issues, milestones, and successes

  • C/C++ with Object Oriented Concepts


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering or related major and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience

  • Minimum 1 years of software development experience in application or embedded software development using C+

    • Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Secret Clearance or higher

  • Understanding of CMMI Level 3 software development processes

  • Knowledge of object-oriented architectural styles and design patterns

  • Algorithm definition and development

  • Experience with cyber security requirements

  • Experience with Python, UML, Qt, RTOS and/or Web Technologies

  • Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for pwn work area

  • Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.

  • Identifies and address changes within own job area

  • Works to achieve operational targets with some impact on departmental results

  • TS/SCI Clearance capability
