International Paper Company (www.internationalpaper.com), a leader in the industrial packaging industry, is looking to fill full-time production positions in its Fort Wayne Container facility. We are looking for motivated individuals who are capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced production environment. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity.
Specific responsibilities include running machines, reading factory orders, basic data-entry skills on a computer, accurately reading tape measures, gauges and other test equipment, utilizing basic shop math, inspecting, counting and stacking product, accurately completing quality and administrative documents and following directions.
Minimum qualifications for consideration are two years industrial manufacturing experience in a fast paced environment, with at least one year with the same employer. Highly-qualified candidates would possess manufacturing experience in the corrugated/converting industry. High School diploma or GED is required. Candidates must be willing to work a five-day work week, as well as occasional daily and weekend overtime. This is a 3 shift operation – applicants must be willing to work any shift.
Prior to initiating employment, all candidates considered for employment will be required to participate in an extensive testing process, structured panel interview, background check, physical and drug testing.
Compensation includes a starting wage of $20.26 for the probationary period.
